Presentation Instruction

Regular and short papers with oral presentation slots

Each paper has a 25-minute slot. We suggest that you prepare a 20-minute for the presentation and reserve 5 minutes for questions & answers. There is a 2 minute buffer time between presentations, session chairs will be instructed to adhere to the 25-minute threshold to ensure that the sessions are kept on track.

Best full and short Papers Award winners and four (04) Outstanding Student Papers Award winner will be selected and announced in the award ceremony session on Saturday the 16th. December 2017

All oral session rooms are equipped with data projectors with a standard VGA connector. Speakers are encouraged to bring and use their own laptops or other presentation devices. For further information: irehi.local@ieee-rural-elderly-health.com

Regular papers and short papers with poster slides

Each paper should yield a poster with a 3 foot by 4 foot size (roughly 91 cm by 122 cm, either 3′ high x 4′ wide or 4′ high x 3′ wide). Poster boards will be provided. You will be encouraged to setup your posters on the eve of your presentation after 6:15 pm, once the activities for the day are over. The session will run during the session at which point, the posters must be taken down to make space for the next session.

Demo presenters

Demo stations and wired network access will be provided. The demos will allow the attendees to experience the system/prototype being demonstrated.  Presenters are encouraged to bring the computing infrastructure necessary. We also encourage presenters to have access to a possibly scaled down version of the demo that can work if there is a network outage. Presenters must be at poster board during their session.

Each Doctorial Symposium paper will be presented on 17th December as:

This session will explore the current and emerging Healthcare IoT application.  We will discuss the areas of Healthcare IoT that are most promising from a physcian’s and scientists point of view.  We will hear the Heathcare IoT personal stories from our panelist members, and get a glimpse into the future on the innovation and patient wellness breakthroughs of tomorrow.
